Caiden carved a dog out of some sort of black stone, and carved the eyes out of garnets. He waited for a day where at dusk the shadows were really dark and sharp. He went outside with his carving, and did some necromancy stuff that bound the stone to its shadow, creating a demon dog that isn't exactly stone but is more material than shadow. It's a type of creature that is made of absolute darkness, of which I'm still figuring out a name. The creatures look like the thing I labeled "true form" and they reproduce by splitting. They can also be created by necromancers using shadows. If bound to an object, it is stuck in that form unless released. They can normally take any form they choose, being shadow matter, but usually are still made of shadow matter and have the red eyes. The more powerful they are, the more solid they can make their forms, and if they're really strong they can make the form have realistic colors instead of being red-eyed shadow silouettes.
